Akbar Faizal is a seasoned politician and entrepreneur with over a decade of experience in Indonesia's legislative body (Member of the House of Representatives, 2009–2019), representing South Sulawesi II under two different political parties: Hanura and NasDem. His passion for organization and leadership began in junior high school and matured during his years in various student movements, where he honed his political instincts. Before entering politics, Akbar started his career as a journalist, working for several print and regional media outlets across Indonesia. His formal political career began with the Democratic Party during its formative years, where he was appointed as the first Chairman of the Democratic Party Youth Wing. He later joined the Hanura Party, which marked his first entry into parliament. In 2013, before the end of his five-year term, Akbar transitioned to the NasDem Party and was successfully re-elected for the 2014–2019 period.
Drawing from his extensive political experience particularly in parliamentary and presidential elections Akbar founded PatraData Dashboard System, a company specializing in big data algorithms for electoral processes. Today, Patra Data is recognized as a political consultancy firm built on data-driven strategies, with proprietary algorithms tailored to political analysis. Over time, the company has expanded its expertise to include business research and consulting services.

The name of the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Tangerang Regency, Mochamad Maesyal Rasyid, has emerged as a strong candidate in the upcoming Tangerang Regency Pilkada. Several survey institutions even place Maesyal Rasyid alongside former Tangerang Deputy Regent Mad Romli in the top positions in terms of electability. PatraData Research: Anies Leads Ridwan Kamil in Jakarta Gubernatorial Election
PatraData, a big data-based political research and consulting institution, has released simulation results for the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election. The results show a tight race between two strong candidates, Anies Baswedan and Ridwan Kamil. Anies is predicted to dominate the vote at 17,800 polling stations (TPS) based on the total number of polling stations for the 2024 election. Meanwhile, Ridwan Kamil has the potential to top the vote count at 13,664 polling stations. This polling station-based vote count simulation was conducted using machine learning algorithms and big data analytics.

"By understanding this data, both teams can formulate a coalition strategy to win the regional election, because the data we use includes voter data down to the polling station (TPS) level," said Hasmin in his statement on Monday (June 23, 2024). PatraData hopes that the results of this simulation can serve as a reference for candidates in the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election. "We are committed to continuing to provide accurate and reliable data analysis to support the democratic process in Indonesia," Hasmin added. From the simulation results, Hasmin concluded that the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election will be no less competitive than the previous election, which featured Aneis, Ahok, and AHY.

PatraData Survey on Java Island: Prabowo 36.3 Percent, Ganjar 31.4 and Anies 26.6
A survey conducted on the island of Java from December 1-5, 2023, by the research institute PatraData shows that Prabowo Subianto is ahead of the other two candidates. However, the three candidates remain in a tight race. "Prabowo received 36.3% of the vote, followed by Ganjar Pranowo with 31.4%, and Anies Baswedan with 26.6%. Meanwhile, 5.7% of respondents were undecided," wrote Rezki Adminanda, PatraData Research Manager, as quoted in a press release received on Saturday (December 9, 2023).
PatraData Survey: Prabowo Leads in Head-to-Head Presidential Election Simulation Against Ganjar and Anies
Survey firm PatraData Research Consulting released its latest findings on presidential electability ahead of the 2024 election on Thursday (November 2, 2023). The results showed Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto topped all head-to-head simulations with Ganjar Pranowo and Anies Baswedan. When faced with Ganjar, Prabowo's electability was significantly higher, garnering 52.3% of the vote, while Ganjar only received 31.8%.

Survey institute PatraData Research Consulting released its findings regarding the electability of presidential and vice-presidential candidates ahead of the start of the 2024 presidential election campaign, with Prabowo Subianto leading Ganjar Pranowo and Anies Baswedan. "Prabowo Subianto leads with 42.4 percent, followed by Ganjar Pranowo with 26.6 percent, and Anies Baswedan with 19 percent. Around 12 percent of respondents chose don't know/didn't answer," stated the release, received in Jakarta on Thursday (November 2). Furthermore, PatraData conducted a simulation of three names based on presidential election trends. Prabowo again outperformed his two other competitors, experiencing a 5.3 percent increase in support from the start of the period to the end of October 2023.
Prabowo-Gibran's Electability Skyrockets, PDIP Predicted to Remain in Control of Senayan
The results of a PatraData survey conducted from October 25–30, 2023, show that the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) remains higher than other parties. According to the survey, PDIP's electability is at 20.8%, followed in order by Gerindra (18.9%), Golkar (6.6%), PKB (6.5%), PKS (6.2%), NasDem (4.7%), PAN (4.5%), Demokrat (4.4%), and PSI (4.2%).
