Palm oil players have stated that their Land Use Rights (HGU) are not subject to the Job Creation Law. This is because, considering the timeframe in which they were issued, they predate the Job Creation Law, also known as the Omnibus Law. Therefore, according to Bustanul Arifin, Chairman of the Indonesian Agricultural Economics Association (Perhepi), the HGU currently held by palm oil business owners is not subject to the Job Creation Law. This is because the HGU was issued earlier, making it difficult to revoke.
