The Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) has gathered input from palm oil business players and domestic agricultural experts protesting the planned revocation of Land Use Rights (HGU) permits for palm oil plantations totaling 2.2 million hectares (ha).
The Ministry of ATR/BPN discussed the protests from palm oil business players, members of several organizations, and agricultural experts in an online discussion titled "Nagara Institute: Considering the Decision of the Palm Oil Industry Governance Task Force: Black or White," in Jakarta on Thursday.
